I have to tell you that the thought of Obama winning this election scares me to death.  Up until last week I had preparing to move my family out of the country.  Actually I was thinking of moving to Georgia (no, not the one in the U.S.) where they really understand what America and freedom is all about.

McCain's pick of Palin has put breaks on my packing and travel arrangements.  While I thought it was a brilliant move I initially feared that the move would be seen as patronizing and playing to Hillary supporters.  To be sure, so did many other people.  However, Wednesday night changed all that.  Here is a woman with solid conservative values who most American's can relate to.  Not only that but she knows how to deliver a speech as well, and better, then most elite, liberal, ivy league educated politicians.

While the phrase "game changer" has been overused in the last couple of days it is true that Sara Palin has done several things that John McCain could never have done.  She has single handedly solidified the republican base.  Palin has also brought much needed excitement to a campaign that at times has been little better then lethargic.  Finally, she helps the Republican party connect to every day American's and our every day fears, concerns, needs and dreams.  This is something that neither McCain nor Obama have been able to do.  This is truely a whole new ball game.

So, as for me, I am putting my ticket agent on hold to watch what transpires between now and November.  However, I will have the agent and movers on speed dial just in case.
